Achieving success as an optician requires a broad knowledge of the many facets of opticianry. These include: specialized opticianry skills, product materials and designs knowledge, and the ability to promote and sell the various products available to today's consumer.

This program is designed to provide the guiding principles to achieving success in optical sales, while gaining the confidence and trust of the patient.

This sales technique program will focus on:

  • CREATING A USER-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT.
  • DESIGNING INTEREST-CATCHING PRODUCT DISPLAYS.
  • KNOWING ALL AVAILABLE PRODUCTS AND THEIR FEATURES.
  • ESTABLISHING CREDIBILITY WITH APPROPRIATE CONDUCT AND ATTITUDE.
  • INTERVIEWING A PATIENT.
  • UTILIZING A LIFESTYLE SURVEY.
  • IDENTIFYING THE MOTIVATING FACTORS TO ENHANCE PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS.
  • PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS.
  • PROPER HANDLING AND PRESENTATION OF FRAME PRODUCTS.
  • CLOSING THE SALE.
  • FOLLOW-UP WITH THE PATIENTS.

This module will take approximately 1 hours to complete and consists of 17 pages.
